Commercial Service Technician
Wayne Dalton of Syracuse is seeking a reliable and hardworking Commercial Service Technician to join our team. As a Commercial Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing issues with commercial and industrial overhead doors. The candidate must be able to work independently, make decisions quickly, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect and diagnose issues with commercial and industrial overhead doors, including motors, springs, tracks, and electrical components
· Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components as needed
· Install new doors or perform upgrades to existing doors to improve functionality and security
· Maintain accurate records of all repairs and installations
· Measure and cut materials to required dimensions
· Ensure proper alignment and functionality of doors and openers
· Transport materials and equipment to job sites
· Perform routine maintenance and inspections to overhead doors and openers
· Communicate with clients to explain technical issues and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades
· Work independently and make decisions quickly to resolve issues as they arise
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment
· Responsible to drive and maintain company owned truck during working hours
· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Strong technical skills and knowledge of overhead door systems and components
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
· Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
· Previous experience in construction or a related field
Salary: Position starting at $21+ per hour based on experience.
